Animal cruelty is not just a matter of human greed. However, there is a growing awareness that animal cruelty may sometimes be a societal phenomenon and we need to find a way to tackle it.

This awareness may include:

Taking control of our public, private and corporate cultures, but also adopting the correct practices in dealing with animal abuse, such as the use of veterinary care and humane care.

(I am thinking of helping, I know) adopt pets that have been attacked, bitten or had their teeth cut or damaged, all in order to create an environment in which they can thrive, and provide us with quality educational and scientific support throughout the rest of our lives, so that they can live their lives as valued members of society in the animal kingdom.

(I am thinking of adopting pets that have been cut or grazed by wolves and others – they may suffer some of these, but we should not be complacent – let them live as pets.)

Our environment and our society need to change. It is important to take a stand against animal cruelty and animal rights such as the American Association of Retreat Shelters (AAR) and the National Action on Pet Burden in Africa (NAPAB). We must demand that the animal welfare community (and, in doing so, our society as a whole) is given a
